Frequently Asked Questions
Please see below for answers to frequently asked questions about our Programs:
Advanced Neuroscience and Consciousness Coaching Certification Program
What is the prerequisite for this program?
You need to have completed classroom training with an ICF accredited coach training program or reasonable equivalent (please contact us if you have any questions about meeting the requirements). You do not need to be certified, and you do not need to hold an ICF credential.
Can I take part in this program if I am NOT a coach?
We’re sorry, but this series is designed with the experienced and trained coach in mind. We build on the existing coaching skills and experience you have as a coach, and add neuroscience and consciousness understanding to what you already know.
Do you only offer this in a virtual format?
Yes, this program is only offered virtually.
Are there new tools provided that I can use with my clients?
Yes, there are approximately 25 new tools offered in the series. You can use all the tools and handouts with your clients in one-on-one coaching relationships.
Can I use the materials to train groups and/or organizations?
These tools are designed, taught and practiced in the context of one-to-one work with individuals. After completion of the series and our Certification program, we offer a train-the-trainer and license program that will give you the tools, practice and license to use this work with groups and organizations. Information on the train-the-trainer can be found at: https://www.beaboveleadership.com/train-the-trainer-beabove-licensing-program/
How many calls can I miss during the 40-week virtual program?
We ask that you not miss more than 5 calls during the 40 weeks. Since there are only 12 (max) people in each class you really make a difference through your presence and we encourage you to clear your schedule to attend as much as is humanly possible!
Do I get ICF CCEUs?
Yes. The program has been approved for a total of 80 ICF CCEUs: 58 Core Competency; 22 Resource Development. (NOTE: If you need some of these by the end of a calendar year before the program is complete, we can pro-rate and provide you with documentation.)
Do I have to sign up for the whole program?
Yes. Our program is designed so that each quarter builds on the next, with the full picture of how the human brain, body and energy field relates to consciousness and is impacted by coaching. This becomes clear as you travel through the four quarters. Also, each pod is a small learning community of approximately 12 people, all sharing the journey together.
What does the Certification portion of the program entail?
We embed Certification throughout the program with weekly homework, quarterly quizzes, and a requirement of 30 coaching hours using coaching tools from the program. In addition, each person will be supervised twice during the program (you’ll submit recorded calls for these supervisions). At the end of the program, you will receive the designation Certified NeuroTransformational Coach (CNTC).
How much time does the program require?
In addition to the two-hour class, we recommend allocating about 60-90 minutes of reading, posting assignments and reflecting on your learning per week. In addition, there is often an assignment to practice the coaching tool you learned in class, which can of course be done as part of your ongoing coaching practice.
How do I register?
You can register on our website under the link for “Virtual Program”. Each pod is named after a flower. Payments are processed through PayPal, and you can use a debit or credit card without having your own PayPal account. Upon registration, you’ll receive a welcome email with information about your program, followed by a note introducing you to our Student Support Manager, Khalida.
What is the learning format?
Our virtual format work is comprehensive, deep, and highly experiential. We provide lots of diverse ways to learn the tools and concepts, and encourage practicing the tools in your coaching practice and your life.
What other materials do I need?
About two to three weeks before beginning of your class, you will receive an email with logistical information and instruction on how to access Coaches Console where you will find all materials including a general course handbook and the handbook for the first quarter. PowerPoints for each session will be available on Coaches Console at the beginning of each quarter. Most of the materials you need are in your quarterly handbook and are open source (articles, videos, etc.) You’ll also receive a copy of our eBook on the Seven Levels, which we encourage you to read before the first class. There are no external books to buy, although we often have recommendations for those who are interested.
What is the refund policy?
Your tuition includes a non-refundable, non-transferable $1000 deposit. After class begins, anything paid to date is non-refundable.
How many people are in each pod?
Class sizes are very small so we can really connect and learn. Each pod will have a maximum of 12 new students and no more than two reviewers (students who have already taken the program).
Are calls recorded?
Yes, all calls are recorded. We use Zoom and all recordings will be loaded into Vimeo with the link provided in Coaches Console for your review.
How is your program different from other training programs?
We have created an advanced coaching program for the trained coach, so in this sense we are very different from any basic coach training. We provide rigorously researched and up-to-date neuroscience, as well as a roadmap to effectiveness. We don’t know of any other coaching program – advanced or beginning – that combines advanced coaching, neuroscience, and effectiveness. There are some programs that touch on neuroscience, but not to the comprehensive degree that we do (and not always based on current research). There are also some non-coaching programs covering aspects of neuroscience, which do not provide tools and processes for using this with human beings.
What do you base your neuroscience research on?
We rigorously read credible publications, follow up on research studies to see if they are verifiable or not and are constantly looking to update what we teach. Ann is the Director of Research and Learning and she will leave no stone unturned to provide our students with in-depth and detailed information. Ann and Ursula then unpack and translate to make this information coach specific and user friendly.
Who leads the program?
The co-founders of BEabove Leadership take turns by quarter being lead trainer for each pod. In addition, our well-trained and experienced associate leaders lead approximately 50% of the calls. https://www.beaboveleadership.com/faculty-and-staff/
Are Ann and Ursula neuroscientists?
No they are not. They are trained and certified CTI Coaches with 20 years (each) of experience. Ann studied at the NeuroLeadership Institute and they both studied with Dr. Dan Siegel of the Mindsight Institute. Their bios can be found here: https://www.beaboveleadership.com/faculty-and-staff/
Who should I contact with other questions or if I wanted to talk?
We would encourage you to take part or listen to our (and recorded) Program Information Calls. You can register for the next preview call and watch previous calls here: https://www.beaboveleadership.com/program-information-calls/ . In addition, our website provides detailed information on the program, as well as references, resources, and a blog.
If you have additional questions after attending/watching a Program Information Call and reviewing this FAQ, please set up a call with Ursula here: https://www.beaboveleadership.com/program-information-calls/.
Finally, we have a YouTube channel under BEabove Leadership, a BEabove LinkedIn profile, and a BEabove Facebook page if you’d like to learn more about us.
